Training

I studied massage at the Evergreen State College in 1983. That same year I received my Washington State Massage License.

Credentials

  • Washington State Licensed Massage Practitioner, 1983
Many of our LMP's offer other styles beyond the popular modalities featured on the New Seattle Massage practitioner pages.

In 1979 I packed up my car and moved to Olympia, WA from New York State. Soon after being licensed to practice massage I began work at Radiance Herbs and Massage, practicing massage in Olympia from 1983-1986. I moved to Seattle in 1987 and began work at New Seattle Massage. Between the years of 1991-1999, I left New Seattle Massage to develop my own practice. During that time I also received a real estate license and spent several years studying at the community college. Deciding a career in real estate was not for me and tiring of working on my own, I returned to New Seattle Massage to work in a community of massage practitioners.

I am drawn to practicing Swedish massage because it is the massage that I most enjoy receiving. I generally work with medium-deep pressure with deeper specific work when called for. I find that a strong, flowing Swedish massage can be deeply relaxing, which is the effect that I strive for.
