Jewell Smith has been working at NSM since 1993. With her many years of experience and training in various styles she combines various styles of body work. She uses long relaxing strokes and also uses deep pressure to release knotted muscles. Many clients comment that she uses just the right amount of pressure. Her experience with Shiatsu in massage school led her to study Oriental Medicince and eventually to go to Acupuncture School. She uses disposable sterile fine needles. Acupuncture treats many conditions such as pain, digestive issues, pms, depression and anxiety. Jewell also uses Acutonics, which are tuning forks placed on acupuncture points. Sometimes Tibetan bowls are used. The subtle vibrations are relaxing and can be used with or without the needles. These can be be added to massage for a unique experience, as well.
